Reading without an account

The site is served through Cloudflare. Like any web server, that produces standard request logs — IP address, user agent, the page requested — which are used for security, rate limiting and operations, and for nothing else.

Page-view analytics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it sets no cookie, does no fingerprinting, and reports traffic only in aggregate. There is no way for QTick to follow an individual reader around the site, and no third-party advertising or tracking script runs anywhere.

Your light-or-dark theme choice is kept in your own browser’s local storage and never leaves it.

With an account

Signing up stores an email address and a password; the password is stored only as a hash, never in plain text. Signing in with Google instead creates the account from the email address Google provides, with no password at all; magic-link sign-in works through a one-time link sent to your email. An optional region setting exists for the settings screen and nothing else reads it.

What you save — watchlists, holdings, saved screens — is stored so it can be rendered back to you. It is not analyzed for advertising and not shared.

Cookies

Two cookies exist, both set only when you sign in: qtick_at and qtick_rt. They are HttpOnly session cookies whose only job is keeping you signed in, and they are cleared on sign-out. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party cookies.

Email

QTick sends account email only: password-reset messages and magic-link sign-in messages. There is no marketing list and your address is not shared.

Third parties

Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, security and the cookieless analytics described above. Google is involved only if you choose Google sign-in, through the standard OAuth flow. No personal data is sold to anyone, and none is shared for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while the account exists. Deleting an account removes it and everything saved under it. Deletion requests — and any other privacy question — go to support@qtick.ai.

Changes

If what QTick collects ever changes, this page changes in the same release and the date at the top is restamped.
